Cirrus®/Maestro® Global Network
Australian MasterCard Worldwide cardholders have access to the Cirrus®/Maestro® Global Network. Merchants in over sixty countries accept MasterCard credit and debit cards. MasterCard Worldwide members can use their cards with ATM’s or the EFTPOS service. EFTPOS, Electronic Funds Transfer Point of Sale, is an electronic processing system available in Australia and New Zealand that allows cardholders to use the MasterCard as a credit card or debit card. Members can obtain cash from their accounts from either an ATM or an EFTPOS merchant.

Traveller’s Cash
Australian travelers can use their MasterCard Worldwide credit card as a convenient way to access their cash in other countries. Before departing on a trip, the cardholder prepays a determined amount of cash that is loaded to the MasterCard. While in another country, the MasterCard is used to pay for expenses and automatically converts the prepaid cash into the currency of the merchant’s country. The Australian dollar (AUD), Pounds sterling (GBP), United States dollar (USD), and Euros (EUR) are currencies available with the MasterCard Worldwide traveller’s cash service. The Canadian dollar (CAD) and New Zealand dollar (NZD) are available at select bank branches. Cardholders can use their MasterCard Worldwide as a credit card or debit card while travelling in other countries. There are more than 900,000 ATM’s across the globe that accept the MasterCard Worldwide card.

PayPass
PayPass is MasterCard Worldwide’s solution for the busy consumer. MasterCard Worldwide PayPass cards can be used for purchases at merchants displaying the PayPass logo. For purchases under $35, the cardholder quickly swipes the PayPass card within one to two inches of the card reader, and the transaction is completed. Purchases over $35 typically require the cardholder’s signature or a PIN entry. PayPass cards are available as small keychain cards, and cell phones can be programmed for use as a PayPass card. A wide range of merchants, especially petrol stations, cafes, and fast food restaurants accept PayPass cards. Purchases are more likely to be less than $35 at these establishments, and cardholders can pay with only a quick swipe of their PayPass cards.

Other Services
MasterCard Worldwide cardholders can quickly locate an ATM or PayPass merchant twenty-four hours a day by using MasterCard Worldwide’s Web site or calling a customer service representative.

Cardholders can pre-authorise payments to businesses for quick and easy monthly bill payments. With MasterCard Worldwide’s Auto Bill Pay service, bills are automatically paid every month. Cardholders have the convenience of making one payment to MasterCard Worldwide instead of multiple payments to individual creditors.
